Reading companion for Integration of Planning with Recognition for Responsive Interaction Using Classical Planners
Richard G. Freedman and Shlomo Zilberstein, Integration of Planning with Recognition for Responsive Interaction Using Classical Planners, AAAI 2017
A hosted reading workbook for Freedman and Zilberstein's AAAI-17 paper, with the PDF kept next to the companion so we can discuss planning, recognition, and responsive interaction together.
I am working through this paper with a reading companion: a self-contained workbook that walks the paper section by section, with tasks and recap maps along the way.
Planning and recognition together are a core AI-in-robotics topic for me right now. Freedman and Zilberstein couple Ramírez and Geffner's recognizer with responsive planning, add a dynamic prior so early observations are not drowned out by greedy likelihood, and demonstrate the loop in the Block-words domain. The paper is a concrete step toward inferring what another agent is doing early enough to help, so I am posting the PDF and the workbook together.
Open the reading companion for the slide-deck walkthrough. Use the PDF when you want the original text, citations, and figures.
